Vashon Farmers Market
brought to you by the
Vashon Island Grower's Association
Saturdays 9:00 - 1:00pm
April - 2nd Saturday in October
Vashon
Farmers Market is a "producer only" market. Everything at the
market has been grown or made by the vendor. By purchasing the
seasonal harvest and crafts, you are supporting our small farms and
helping preserve a way of life that is deeply rooted on this
island. Stop by each week to see how the market changes!
The Vashon Island Grower's Association (VIGA) is a group of local growers and craftspeople working together to provide produce, plants, trees, cut flowers, crafts and other local specialties to Puget Sound markets, florists, nurseries, island farm stands and the Vashon Farmers Market
VIGA members are committed to preserving Vashon's rural heritage. VIGA's goals are to provide the community with handcrafts and fresh locally grown farm products while providing producers with an outlet for their product. In addition, VIGA seeks to educate the public about the importance of local agriculture and the value found in our rich farming heritage. By bringing people together for a farmers market, we will promote a better sense of community, serve as an educational forum, and encourage small business development.
VIGA membership is open to anyone growing produce or plants or making crafts on Vashon Island, and anyone who wants to support island agriculture. Membership dues are $25 per year for growers, crafters, and supporters.
For more information call (206)498-0986 or email lisa@luckyfarm.us
VIGA is a member of Washington Tilth, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations and membership dues are tax deductible.
